Dr. Manoj Mishra is a person having versatile talent. He has excelled in many different fields of tourism trade. His prolific career spreads in different areas like tour guiding, academics, blog writing etc. He is an ardent and discerning traveller having a great interest to intermingle with people belonging to different parts of the world so as to broaden his educational and cultural horizon. He is having a great interest to set the trend of finding way to different lesser known destinations and popularising different special interest tourism destinations. He loves to accompany people to new places having distinctly different ethnic cultures ( both tangible and intangible) and make them feel the richness of their way of life, fairs and festivals, food habits, costumes, livelihoods etc...He is an "International Travel Consultant'' certified by IATA/UFTAA. He is also a most preferred Regional Tour Guide approved by the Ministry of Tourism,Government of India. Though he has not adopted 'Tour Guiding' as his whole time profession, he often accompanies tourists to different destinations for the sake of gaining and disseminating pleasure and knowledge. After doing different corporate jobs for more than one decade ,he made up his mind to concentrate in academics where his capabilities can be better exploited. Afterwards he did his Ph.D in tourism which has been awarded by Utkal University . He has more than 20 years of UG & PG teaching experience . He has got more than 100 research articles to his credit published in different journals and digital media platforms . However, One of the rare achievements of Dr. Mishra is often referred to as the only person in Odisha who is an International Travel Consultant ( IATA/UFTAA), a Regional Tour Guide ( Ministry of Tourism, GOI) and a doctorate degree holder at a stretch in the field of tourism. Anyway, he has got a unique blend of both industry exposure and teaching experience.
